looking for some info on winter walleye bite thanks
but would also love some winter walleye info!!!!
Man, the best thing I can tell ya is these are exciting times. I cannot divulge where, but a friend of mine caught a walleye while we were sauger fishing recently. That sucker had no earthly right to be in those waters. It makes me hopeful that recent stockings of KY natives might actually be beginning to take hold, and are perhaps making it past man made dams. Wish I'd got some scales for ID.
Green River lake has been an absolute bust for me for about ten years now. The only teeth we pulled from there were musky. Same ol' nuttin but blanks for Nolin. Most of my good numbers come from Brookville Lake in Indiana, but that was slow this past year. The shad were too plentiful. A good ice should help that.
That aside, I've been dying to make it to Wolf Creek and try for some. I am just not too familiar with that area.
I keep hearing jigs, spoons, and cranks in the Wolf Creek TW area have pulled a few. Some pretty large. It's on my to do list!
