Barren River Lake today

Went out this afternoon for a few hours for my first time fishing this spring. Water was 45 degrees and maybe a little darker than stained, but not as bad as I expected.

I caught one nice 3 lb'er that was noticeably on the skinny side, maybe the result of the cold winter and possible shad kills. I was in about 20 feet of water throwing a crank bait towards rocky points when I caught it.

It was nice to get out and make sure everything works OK on the boat, just a beautiful day to be outdoors.
