anyone had any issues or success launching a boat on this small lake? I know a jon or small boat would be fine but I'm concerned about attempting it with my 18' Nitro.
Thanks

I've been there a few times in a jon boat. I'm not sure how far the ramp goes into the water or how deep it is at the end of the ramp. You wouldn't be able to power load your nitro either since the operation of a combustion engine is prohibited on that lake. A jon boat and a trolling motor works best at Spurlington.
I have taken my basstracker 165 there before and it wasn't that hard but I wouldn't say it was easy either...a 18 foot would be more difficult for sure.....As far as loading everyone I talked to seem to think it was ok to use the big motor to load....I didn't do it because it seemed to me that the rule of the law was pretty precise......
Unload that is, with no problems. Loaded using trolling motor and winch. I have a 18 1/2 ft Cajun and had more trouble manuevering to get in the water due to trucks parked in the way. You should be fine.
I agree with TrackerMike. The only difficulty is backing the boat/trailer onto and down the ramp because of the tight space. I launched my Stratos 19 ft 201 with no problem. I loaded it with trolling motor and winch also. Good luck. Please post a report on how you do.
