Nice to see the Wood producing some decent bass.
You seeing Gills headed to the nest yet? I have not been there in YEARS, and have cancelled all my KY trips due to boat issues, but I could easily make it there with my canoe.

Sorry, I didn't post back sooner. I'm not on here too often.
Yes, the bluegill are nesting. They've been catching them like crazy at Dogwood.

Dogwood was really fun today............
I went with my wife, and managed to stick quite a few bass on a frog. Talk about explosive hits. WOHOO.
I'm going back Friday, to see if I can stick some more.

Instead of going back Friday, I went back Saturday and took my ultralight and not my bass rods.
POUNDED the bluegills. Probably caught 100 or so. Ended up harvesting 38 solid gills.
If you want some gill opportunities, they are right fun at Dogwood.

I've never been to Dogwood, is it crowded?

Probably is now...lol

It is not too bad. It is full of trees, so it keeps quite a bit of the bigger boats off of it.
Idle speed only also keeps it managed a little.
Nothing better than watching a purty 40k bass boat teeter on a stump though....I guarantee the dude was sick trying to get that purty boat off that 4 ft stump.............smack dab in the middle of the lake.
