Jimmy Ellis
Jimmy Ellis died yesterday. He was the former heavy weight champ. Although I don't follow boxing I have heard this man speak on several different occasions he was the real deal. Good person, christian, excellent roll model for kids and loved Louisville. Guess what I am trying to say we should have a building named after him, a street named after him and have him idolized like Ali.
Which I will get tared and flogged for this but can't stand Ali. JMHO.

I had a little thing I wasn't happy with in the gel coat, very small place they stayed and got me happy so I wouldn't have to come back and make an extra trip. Yep first rate guys I would go back and would encourage others to as well.
We got to telling war stories. I spent some time a few years ago with some of your retired brothers at B&J with Sherril Baker and his crew after the shop had closed. Man I loved some of those stories.....;)

Wouldn't have been a guy named Dale and I'm sure there was no brown water.

I was lucky enough to have known Jimmy since I was 15-years-old. He was always kind and always humble. He had the misfortune of being in the same generation as Ali and was often called the overlooked champion because he wasn't Ali, Frazier, Foreman or Norton. He didn't make a lot of money and he basically gave up an eye in the ring, but he still loved the sport.
We are going to pay our respects this evening at Canaan Baptist Church off Hikes LN. Ryan, if you go, look me up.
