Bluegills, Lake Barkley, and the cold front

I am heading down to lake barkley this weekend (May 16th-18th) to fish for bluegill and redear. The temps are going to drop to mid 60s for the highs and mid 40s for the lows. With the full moon being tomorrow (Wednesday the 14th) will the impending cold front have as big of an impact on fishing conditions this weekend, if any? I am trying to fill the freezer so any tips, insights, hotspots on the lake and info on how bluegills and redear are affected by cold fronts and other sudden weather changes will be greatly appreciated. I also plan on going for some catfish. Thanks a lot. NEWT

Newt,my brother is down at Ky right now.They was leavin the dock at 11 am,gonna fish till dark.I will get a report for you this evening and post it if i can.It might be after dark though.They have been dodging storms and rain for 2 days but catching alot in all the normal bedding areas.He will have a handle on these post frontal conditions.

Just got back. Gills and redears were hitting good in the backs of sheltered bays. We use small jigs with Gulp alive and caught a bunch of cats on them too. Was planning on staying till the weekend but cold, wet and windy weather takes a lot of the fun out of it.

I was there last year around June 1st and I had a really hard time locating beds in KY lake. We were in the Moore's area and others and it seems like we were fishing pretty far back in bays in 3-5 foot of water and struggled the whole time.

Newt,my brother said they got a bunch of gills and a few cats mixed in,said he couldnt tell if the weather had any effect.Sent me a pic of a real nice mess.I'd say go to your normal spots and have at it.
