Fishing around Louisville
Well here is the skinny of it.
McNeely Lake
Nice big lake has some nice size bass in it and some really good bluegill and shellcrackers. Caught several big 1 lb shellcrackers and 4 bass in the 2 to 3 lb range while bream fishing. PROBLEM: unless you have a boat hard place to fish. Boats are allowed with trolling motor only. We fished from the bank if we had a boat sure we could have really done well.
Tom Wallace
Smaller lake water is really clear. Must really be getting hammered we fish all over this lake and never got a bite.
Waverly lake
Good size lake has some decent bass. Bluegill small you can catch alot but they are all small. Fish and game need to look into this lake seems all the bluegill are just small there use to be some big ones there but now with all the pressure it gets all it seems the whole population of gills is small. Has small small catfish in it also. Be careful here to we saw 4 watersnakes good size to them in the water and as we walked the path around the lake we saw two copperheads on the path but soon as they saw us they went in the woods.
Watterson Lake
Small lake lots of fishing pressure. Again lots of small gills and small catfish.
So here it is if you want the bigger gills and bass get a small boat go to mcneely toward to dam can catch some nice fish. If you want to catch a lot of small bluegill Waverly or Watterson is the place.
