Headed to dale hollow for the first time ever this weekend. I think we're putting in at holly creek and staying on a island for the weekend. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Would love to catch some smallmouth but am willing to fish for anything with gills. I've always been a largemouth guy mainly fishing rough and nolin so I would be happy with any smallmouth big or small. Thanks
Enjoy your camping because the fishing is not the best at all. Was there a couple of weeks ago and have not been back since. Fished up to 2 or 3 am and had only 1 small LM. Dale Hollow has not been no good for Smallmouth for the last 2 years other then in the spring had a few good nights when the bait fish were on the banks.

Did pretty good this spring and that was getting towards the end of the spring bite. Also got into some real nice redear and bluegill. Can't wait for the water to cool down and try the fall bite!
