I have been on the water several days now, lake is clear, temp bouncing around 60 depending when your watching your units.
Fishing between Wolf river, and goat island. I fish with live bait shad, finding scattered fish on flats with deep water close by.
Drifting the bait and bottom bouncing it where the bottom allows has produced. I'm also setting up on channel banks an throwing the bait to the depths around 25 feet, letting the small mouth come to it, My set ups have produced better fish an more numbers than drifting this week

Was down saturday and had 26 fish on jigs. Stranges wasnt open when we went by so we didnt have any live bait but had a pretty good day anyway. Had 5-6lm, 2-3kys, and the rest smallies. Biggest was probably a little over 4 but the overall size wasnt as good as we usually have with live bait but the fish were extremely healthy

I have fished very little grass what I am doing is fishing medium sloping banks no walls where channel cuts toward the bank an trying to get the lb to settle into 25 ft range.

I usually fish what I think are areas where when the fish is moving they find my bait
Work flats close to deep water drifting, but there I have to get my bait to the fish. Been hit or miss
