"Fished" cumberland yesterday...

Notice I didn't say "caught" at cumberland. I fished yesterday on the main lake around Conley bottom and up in Faubush creek. I'm by no means an experienced fisherman and make no claims to the contrary. Fished jigs, swimbaits, cranks, silver buddy, flukes, shiners, Zara spooks, the kitchen sinkand even tried a float n fly (first time). Struck out on smallies so I took minnows to the back of Faubush and caught some bluegill. I did notice something I'd never seen before, there were bubbles coming up from the bottom everywhere in the back 1/3 of the creek.anyone know if that's due to the rate at which water is being pulled from the dam? Does that have an impact on the fishing? Hope these aren't dumb questions, I was just curious. Thanks

i have been to cland 3 out of the last 4 days , the fishing has been the best i have ever seen for catching largeheads and ky's , mixing in some stripers and some big crappie one 16 and one 17 , jerk baits and smoke grubs, won't tell my area because there are no other boats there but fish the back of the creeks with a small jig work it very slow outside of the trees in about 12 to 20 ft of water . water temp was 53 yesterday , the bite feels like a leaf on the jig just grabbing and holding it , if you think its a twig set the hook , hook sets are free . the lake has dropped a lot since saturday and the fish have pulled off the banks. good luck and good fishing.

A lot of really helpful info there, Thanks for taking the time to reply.
This is my first year doing any amount of fishing to speak of, and first year having ever fished the land o' cumber. So please excuse me if my questions seem simple.
It's an 80 mile shot one way for me, so that kind of help is invaluable.

Those bubbles just might be beavers, too. We've seen a lot of them in the backs of Faubush and Bee Lick. Sometimes you can see their slides all over back there. Just one time I'd like to see them using the slides - that would be hilarious.
