Louisville vs. Indiana in Madison Square Garden, or as the locals call it "the Gahden."
I admit I don't know what to expect as I have not really gotten into basketball mode yet. I have only watched two Louisville games and none of IU.

it will be interesting........I'm an IU fan by heart, but will be looking forward to a good game.
I think Indiana is deeper, but UL may be better.........Indiana is definitely shooting pretty dang good. And they run the floor pretty effectively.
I'm definitely GLAD we don't have to play UK this year...........

The line has Louisville by 8 right now, hmm I'm not so sure. Louisville is not playing offensively very well at all and they are turning it over WAY to much. No way Louisville is top 5, I love my Cards just being truthful. Won't surprise me one bit to see Indiana win this by double digits..... Now if the press bothers the Hoosiers and they cough it up a bunch it will be a long night for Harry Potter and he needs this win.
If he doesn't make the dance and make noise this year I think he's gone. Indiana has way to much rich tradition to be mediocre every year and I don't blame the fans for being disgruntled with Crean right now.

Yup uofl has a awesome defense but the offense hasn't caught up yet. About the same situation with uk. For some reason I feel IU gets lucky tonight in msg. I have a feeling it will be a good game though. And you are right mhall if cream doesn't do anything this year he is gone. I know there is a helluva coach at witchita st that would bring IU back
Take Louisville and the points.....
Man, what a good game so far.
If Indiana would learn to NOT turn the ball over, they could be really, really GOOD.
The flat out shoot the lights out. 7 for 10 from 3 pt range in the first half is keeping them in the game.
AND man, oh man do they move well without the ball......
Hopefully we get better........
Turnovers and rebounding destroyed us. Montrelz Harrell is a freakin MONSTER.

That was probably the best I've seen uofl play all year. They played a complete game and yeah montrelz is a REAL all american. This years uofl and uk game should be epic!!!! Sorry about your Hoosiers geo. It may be a longer building process when crean gets the boot this year.... I would be really shocked to see him pacing the sidelines in Assembly Hall next season
Difference in the game happened fairly early in the second half when the Louisville perimeter defense stiffened and stopped the three point shot and held Indiana to just one three point field goal in the second half. Indiana is not a big team therefore taking it inside was very tough.
I hurts me deeply to say this but Kentucky will destroy Louisville. They will not get that base line stuff against Kentucky because of all the 8 foot freaks of nature. The only way and I do mean the ONLY way that Louisville even has a shot at UK is if they shoot a stupid crazy field goal percentage from outside and especially the three ball. They will not play inside with those trees, nobody in college ball will.
Now if Willie Stein breaks a toe in a skiing accident it gets different but other than that it will get ugly. Hell Brian Quisenberry could coach this team and win 95% of the games played, its so easy a cave man could it.....;)
Well it took till 10:00 left in the second half for IU to hit the "big 10 drought", and that's when Louisville started to pull away. 1-0 free winner on the message phone last night.

LOL Sorry Geo, I couldn't help myself. IU is going to be fine down the road. It was a fun game to watch.
Does anyone remember just a few short years ago it seemed like Louisville ould never beat a Big 10 team? I remember losing to Purdue, Iowa, Llinois and Michigan State. Now it seems like they cannot lose to one. They are 3-0 this season and have beaten Michigan St. in a sweet 16 game and Michigan in the title game.

I don't want to see Crean get the boot just yet.........Yea, I don't like what we have, but I DO like what he's done to bring the program back.
You really need to look at the HORRIBLE system he was given. Mike Davis was not very good, and dropped Indiana a notch. Sampson........well what a complete and utter Douche. He should have never been given the job......
Crean is a good coach. Not to sure is is a "great" coach, but I think the first 3-4 years were going to be painful. He is in year 7. In this year, he better do something, or you're right, he will be gone.
I would like to see a good run in the tourney and a good run in the b10 tourney. Wishful thinking maybe, but If we learn a few lessons from the butt kicking we took from UL, that may be possible.
