My boat is out of commission at the moment and I was wondering if it is possible to walk the bank and fish in the browns ford area at Barren river lake? Or, would I just sink in the mud like quicksand?

Don't know about that far up, but if seen guys fishin from the bank at the mouth of the river. They were catching slab crappie off the lay downs. Close to the bridge. Starboard side if you facing up river. Surely some of the bluffs up there aren't too muddy.

Thanks for the reply! I think me and a friend of mine have decided to fish Nolin Lake tailwater area. They are pulling a little over 400 so it should be perfect.
