Lake Cumberland Striper
I need some help. I fish Cumberland a lot in the fall for stripers and can always find some fish to catch. I am wanting to try them in April but have never fished for them that time of year. Are they in the creeks or on the main lake? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Still some fish on the main lake, but most will be in the first third of the creek and mouths of major creeks will always be good then as well. Yes you can find some way back in the creeks that time of year but the numbers are still in the first third of the creek...my two cents.

Late April even starts some of the night bite casting plugs o the bank and points at the lower end of the lake

Use your fish/depth finder any time of year to find schools of shad, commonly known as bait balls on the graph. The stripers will be close by.

Keep checking here for updates on the striper bite. The closer the time for the trip the more the updates will be. Most of the local guys will keep the rest of us in the know. They are pretty good about that on this site.
