I have watched plenty of his videos and enjoy seeing those pigs!! We are headed down to Lake Kissimmee in a few weeks and flipping mats, pads, grass and cattails will be on the agenda!! Heck I'm already rigged with snelled flipping hooks on the big rods!!!
I can hardly wait...we will be staying at the lake (Camp Mack) seconds from the ramp so it's gonna be a great time. Maybe we will have a few pictures of some big mommas!!

Lake K is one of the best in Florida including Big O. It should really on there within the next few weeks. I have spent a lot of time in the Satellite Beach/PAFB area and we used to make day trips to Lake K to bass fish. However my favorite place to bass fish is Farm 13/Stick Marsh. It's just east of Lake K. Farm 13 is not as good as it once was but still very fun to fish as long as the gallinippers don't bleed you dry. If you get a chance head up to Port Canaveral and have a good meal at Rusty's Seafood and Oyster Bar or Grills Seafood and Tiki Bar. Both are great places to eat if you like seafood. Everyone says Fishlips is good too but I've never tried it.

Oh man Farm 13/stick Marsh...we used to go there before they had a real ramp. The road leading to the lake was dirt/sand and usually sloppy when we went. The ramp was basically the side of the dike and it was rough with holes and steep. We used t take my 18ft skeeter there......towing it with a work van that had a V6 in it. Every time we went we brought a tow rope and beer/cash in case we needed to buy a tow out of there but the guys were always willing to help with no pay.
The fishing back then was off the charts unbelievable good!!!! I have been back since the new concrete ramp and covered table area and it's ok when compared to the old days but not as good. That was just an amazing place when it first opened up....just hard to describe catching 40 fish a piece with several being over 5 and most being 2+ And all on artificial baits.
i never ate at Rusty's but used to fish at the Cape a lot as well. I miss Florida fishing and shrimping. Heck I may move back in a year or so anyway. If I move back it will be in the Bradenton area which is beautiful and has great fishing.....Seems like a good place to retire. :)

Bradenton is close to Madeira Beach which I consider to be the prettiest beach in Florida.
I woke up this morning and my wife asked if I had switched careers to meteorology. I said "why?", she said "cause your 8 inches look like the eight they forecasted for today". I looked out and there was about a half inch of new precip outside:/
Another 6 inches of combo ice/snow, came off the vehicles easy as it just slid off, but the driveway and walks were a beeatch.

I had a few inches of ice snow mix on my car yesterday and it was easy to get off and slid as yours did. The biggest problem is water on the roads from the melting snow and rain.

shocking rod.

Thanks.....Man that place was loaded with Bass and Gators!!! I'll dig up a few pics of gators on my line while fishing Farm 13 in Florida. It's always a concern that's for sure. The places we used to swim as young men make me cringe now when I think about it!!!
I guess God watches out for children and fools...and I can clearly see we were fools.:o

Such an amazing state. I wish I could live there!! Any island....don't matter to me as long as I could afford it!
