Are we talking about large mouth or paper mouth
Me and a buddy are going to Blood river tomorrow until Tuesday evening. I was hoping to get into a few of the black crappie.
Largemouth. Best five Friday better than 28 lbs with one over 8. Best five Saturday about 23 lbs.

Care to share what you all were using? Heading down in a couple days. Would be nice to land a few like those!
Alabama rig. No big secret. Check out the results of the college open from this weekend (FLW homepage). Top 5 teams were all throwing it.

Looks like a cold front from HELL is coming through Thurs Night :( :( .
The Alabama rig is working for sure...but the winners of the college tournament were throwing a crank bait.
I stand corrected. Probably should throw a crankbait...and leave the Alabama rig fish to someone else...like me.

Black Crappie spawn earlier than White Crappie and they like the shallow areas in the back end of the bays in shallow water.
Good luck to you and hope you have fun and the fish are biting.
