Cumberland Conditions
Was gonna try to bass fish Cumberland this Sunday, but I live about an hour and a half away and don't want to fish in chocolate milk. Can anyone tell me the water clarity? Is the upper end better or the lower end as far as water clarity? Thanks in advance.

Luke, I live a short distance from the lake, and it has been a very interesting spring so far here. We have had so much rain here. Right now you can find every color of water in the book. The good news even in the muddy water the bass are hitting spinnerbaits. To make a long story short, the bass are in pre-spawn feeding right now so they are hitting most anything. The next two weeks should be very good.

Was there yesterday afternoon. Dam area clarity was fine. Very very back of creeks was "muddy" but but not chocolate. For us bass fishing was slow. Not sure if front moving through slowed them or we had our head up our......:D
But we did well with the stripers.

Thanks Bonefish and tacklebag. Wound up going to the lower end, it was stained but not muddy. Very slow day, only had 8-9 fish all day. But it was good to get out on the water. I appreciate the info.

More rain...high water. Wolf head waters are dingy around the ramp but I am sure that will change today.
