Blue Angles performing over the Evansville, IN riverfront
Come to Evansville, IN this coming Saturday to watch the Navy's Blue Angles perform aerobatic maneuvers over the Ohio River at the Evansville Riverfront. Cost is only $10 to see the best show in the world. I saw a couple of the F18's flying over the West side of town this afternoon when I was out side picking blueberries of my parents Blueberry bush. The fly out over my parents house and turn around to go back over the River front. It's only a mile or so from the Riverfront as the crow flies. I've seen them flying over the city ever time they come to town to perform. Once I was driving down Euler road out by Otter pit watching two of the F18's flying over Bluegrass Creek to my West and forgot that Euler road ends abruptly. I ended up in the ditch. I was so intent on watching the F18's that I lost track of time and didn't make the turn onto Ashirer Road. My bad. Luckily a guy in a four wheel drive truck came by and helped me unhook the boat trailer and boat from my truck and then he pulled my truck out of the ditch. I tried to stop but slid on the gravel which covered the road and didn't stop in time. I dinged up the tongue on the boat trailer a bit but nothing much else was damaged. I'll be more careful the next time. LOL But I love watching those F18's fly.
