Wolf Creek Dam
I just started walleye fishing this year nd caught some good oneserl on to water and I'm thinking about going to the Dam to catch some walleye and crappie.. and info about how deep they are and what lure to use for walleye? just getting started crappie fishing and haven't caught any yet, been fishing brush about 12 ft deep with minnows.. thanks in advance..

Now that the dam is releasing cold water again I don't think you'll find many crappie there anymore. The mouth of hatchery creek was a good spot last few years. The lake has a lot of slabs but it's not easy to figure out. Fish there deeper than you otherwise would. Walleye are more seasonal below dam. We catch a few good ones around Burkesville in summer drifting worm harnesses but I haven't tried since water got cold again. Probably pushed them back down river too. River was 55 degrees about 35 miles down this past weekend.

thanks for the reply, the water was 49 at the dam. saw fish on the lowrance but nothing biting. one guy hauled in a keeper striper but that was all I saw.

At the city ramp or you can put in at traces. Both are good ramps and traces has a $5 launch fee
