These mild temps should help the fishing. I have heard that they are picking up crappie in 12-15ft above brush piles @ Nolin. Thats a good sign for late Aug.

Yes sir, I'm gettin giddy. Love this time of year.
I've also heard that Crappie are being taken from 6-8 fow at Cave Run, and can personally vouch for crappie being taken from Green River Lake at 14-17ft deep, from the deeper flats. The Shad migration hasn't really started in earnest at Green, though, but it won't be long.
While next Tues is the opening day of Dove Season, and I'll be out there busting feathers, to me it is also the beginning of the descent of daily temps ... a wake up call to all anglers that love Fall fishing.
