Headed down Thursday with the old man & my son hoping to find a few mean ones. Plan on fishing from Eagle Cove- State Dock toward Sulphur.
Water Temps in the 60S yet & have the fish started to push back into the grass beds?
Thanks

[TD][FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica][SIZE=2][COLOR=darkgreen]Fished the deep end near Cedar Hill. Water temp was 72.8 all the way down to 42ft. Lots of shad in the main lake and down deep. Caught smallmouth when I found shallow bait balls 15-20ft. Main lake points around 20ft were good. Everything in the slot. Checked a few creek backs and didn't find shad or bass. Using crank baits through the bait balls and bama rig at deep edge of the grass. Found walleye on bottom at 35-40 feet(saw them on the Marcum camera). Couldn't get to them to hit and shad were drifting across the same points. Took some deeper temp readings and it dropped off at 50-55 ft.

Talked to a few people that have been and theyve all struggled. From skunking to catching a couple little fish. That water needs to get down in the low 60's to get em moving
