[QUOTE=wild duck;550364]how is bass fishing at nolin since they are dropping the lake
Went yesterday, with little luck. Fished Canalaway creek most of the day. Only a few small ones. No keepers. Fishing was slow. It's been slow last few times I've been. Not sure why, other than I don't know how to catch them.
Went today and fished from 7-3. Everything was caught south of Moutardier, but it seemed everywhere we stopped we would catch at least one. Between my dad and I we caught a little over 30. Mostly chunk rock banks but also some wood structure was holding fish. Had several slots and maybe one that was over 15". There was hardly no one on the lake so it was a blast!
Fished most of the day Sat. and it has slowed down since they started dropping but we still caught @30 w/ only 2 over 15". All but 2 short fish came on a jig with the other 2 on a crank. All came on main lake, the 2 over 15" were caught in 8-13' of water. They are a little deeper than last week.

Fish a rebel craw crank on rocky banks ....Crawfish are running for their lives right now , because of the pull down ...my fave time to catch bass @ Nolin is now
