Not sure about Jamestown, but fished Beaver today, I'm sure Jamestown will be similar. Fished from marina to Twyfords, clear water until you got to the big island and then good color, became considerably murkier above Twyfords. Heard the crankbait bite was red hot, but only managed dinks, all caught in the colored water, only good fish of the day caught on a jigging spoon. Would've liked to fished a jig or jerk bait but too much wind. Had to throw the fly once and stopped on my money point on the way in and caught a 6" smallie. Water temps within a degree of 59 everywhere I went. I'm sure the man lake and main lake hollers will be clear, that's where I'll be tomorrow more than likely. Tried to target largemouth today. Tomorrow smallies.

Heading to Grider Hill Marina Tuesday to fish for Bass, Largemouth or Smallmouth. Not sure what creek that's in. Never fished Cumberland before. Looking for any tips on where to find them, main lake or creeks. Points or backs of creeks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hoping to put my friend on some fish. He lost his job due to back surgery, and needs some good things to happen in his life right now. Thanks and Happy New Year!

Grider Hill is in Indian Creek which is one of my favorite creeks on Cumberland. Usually if I put in at the dam, I'll fish Indian and Guffy Creeks. Guffy is the next creek down the lake, towards the dam. My biggest smallmouth on Cumberland came off the bluff walls near mouth of Guffy. It was about this time of year caught on Cumbercrawl colored jig.
I'll be on Cumberland tomorrow as well. My plan is to put in at Jamestown and fish around the island (cut through) bluff wall and pig pen areas. I usually don't run too far this time of year.
Trying to get a report on water conditions. Have any of you been in the last few days?
I put in at Jamestown yesterday (Tuesday). The water clarity is normal on the main lake and even back up in Greasy Creek. The water temp was 56. Caught few short smallmouth on the main on a jerkbait and speedcrawl. I did catch a keeper largemouth and smallmouth, along with several others just under on red crankbaits up in Greasy Creek.
I'm going Sat and putting in at Conley bottom and trying to decide which way to go. Ty
Was there Sunday and it was stained at needle point, muddy at the marina. I heard it got worse.
How was the tournament? (To everyone)
Water still looks good,Fished new years day put in at Pumpkin creek ramp and fished all way to the back of Indian water temps were 55 degrees everywhere I went. Sun came out and shut my bite down should have thrown the float and fly rod in the boat.
