I have lived in the Rough River lake area for the past 7 years and have never caught a smallmouth. There may be a few swimming around, but I haven't seen or heard of any caught. I love those brownish and make the drive to Dale as much as I can. Other KY Lakes with good population of smallmouth would by KY/Barkley, Cumberland, Dale, Laurel, and Green.

Yes I am a hollow guy till I die. As well as Barkley. Just trying to find a closer spot for the brownies. Thanks for the Info again. And if you ever need any fnf or bucktails for sale give me a shout.

Thank you very much for the info floatman.
I live 35-45 minutes away from Rough River lake, depending on where I put in, and I have never seen or heard of a smallmouth being caught out of that lake. Several lake guides list them as being in the lake, but I have never seen one.
There is some good smallmouth fishing around the Bowling Green area, if you want to wade fish creeks and rivers.

I love them anyway I can get them. But my favorite is wading. Just something about being waist deep in a creek and watching those toads walk on water. Thanks for the info bud...
