with the Kynect program, working well and 75% of ky voters like it, but don't care for President Obama, it don't make sense to dismantle something that is liked by so many people, just because a president from a different party put it in place. it looks like because the Pubs don't like Obama, the new govenor Matt Bevin is going to try and fix something that is far from being broken, Kentucky received $290 million in federal grants to build Kynect, of which $57 million has not yet been spent. Federal officials have suggested that the state should repay the $57 million. But surely a state that is willfully destroying an exchange that was working well should be forced to return the whole $290 million. with interest from the day they recieved it.

Like it, not me It drove the price so high I had to drop my wife coverage at work because it doubled. She not had insurance for 2 years.

And yet, two of the largest insurance companies out there will no longer participate in the exchanges.

United Healthcare lost half a billion dollars last year on it........

insurance is supposed to be profitable? I have had auto insurance for over 59 years. I had one chargable claim, I hit my own brand new car with my older one. Home owners insurance probably 50 years[ same company] boat owners several claims, grand total maybe a thousand bucks[same company]. I didn't know I was supposed to profit from it.Now one insurance that I am showing a gain is social security insurance. but that isn't privately owned.

And lets remember while you're HATING on them, most insurance companies, at this level ( fortune 500), were already paying back 85% of premium because they were ALREADY participating in gubment programs, that required it.

For 20 years, My company made decent money on these programs.......Affordable Care changed all that. When My company and others stop servicing these gubment contracts, who do you think will do it?

Gubment has been inept at everything they do.........

I don't like Obama at all and IMO he has been a horrible president, but I have to say my insurance has only gone up a fraction of what it did under GW. Under GW it went from only a few hundred a month to well over a thousand and I had to dramatically downgrade my plan just in order to stay at that. It was literally going to double one year if I didn't downgrade my plan substantially.

I pay for my own individual insurance and maybe that is why. All I know is it has been a genuine relief since GW left. I am paying well over $1400 a month now for insurance for my family and if it hadn't slowed down since GW left office I'm not sure how I would have managed to keep up the pace the increase was on.

It doesn't make me believe Obama is a good president but I am convinced that when everyone in the country knew healthcare cost were a problem the republicans did nothing themselves when they had the power to and that is a shame. We have Obama care because of their lack of action when the country was crying out for something to be done. So we end up with whatever ends up being offered as a solution regardless if it is a good choice or not.

I have been a long time republican but right now I have little confidence in either party. It seems like both are for the birds and just care about power and staying in office.
