Nolin - Late April
Hey guys. I've not spent a lot of time on Nolin and will be heading there with a buddy towards the end of April. I am curious as to how well the fishing will be at this time? I've always heard Nolin is a tough place to fish. The hand full of times I've been on the lake, I've struggled a bit. I've never been on Nolin in late April. Any suggestions or information is appreciated! Thank you and have a blessed week!

Crappie should be spawning at the end of april and should be up shallow..i went to nolin the last week of april last year and caught 32 bass in one day but only 5 where above 15 in. I was using a 3 inch plastic craw texas rigged--pumpkin-w/orange flake. I was fishing the banks close to the dam on both sides. Good luck,jc

Late April thru may is a great time to be on Nolin. A spinnerbait and a weightless trick worm will keep you busy all day. Throw a jig if you want some big girls to show up to the party. Fish are easy to catch if the water level is normal.
