Merrick Garland? Who is this guy?

It's all about Political ideology and it's always has been
[QUOTE=GeoFisher;553913]I could accept him, I believe.......
BUT....not gonna happen. While it is Obama's job and the Senates job to fill this vacancy, I do believe I would much rather wait until after the election.
IF a democrat gets elected, then it is obvious that is the way the country is leaning and the next prez should appoint whoever he/she likes...
BUT, if as I expect, a republican wins in a landslide, winning a gigantic number of states and slapping the democrats back into the stone age, why on EARTH should the country allow a lame duck president with leftist ideology to appoint a judge that will significantly change the court.
Look......I UNDERSTAND all the reasons for and against....I just believe we should wait, and there is quite a bit of precedent for that waiting, if you look and stop being blinded by political ideology.

My number one thing these days is shooting guns. So I'm hoping that the Senate votes ASAP and votes this guy down. It's not in favor of preserving the 2nd amendment and for that single reason I don't like Obama's appointment.
I fear that if the GOP does not give this guy a vote it will come back to haunt them in the General Election. I'm not sure that the GOP senators that are up for reelection this year will stick with the party leaders. But if Grassy doesn't meet with this guy and put him up for a vote there will be repercussions. How bad those will be won't be known until after the next election.
