Guist Creek Lake
Left work yesterday and cruised out to Guist Creek, fished from 6:00pm-10:30pm and never got a bite. I believe the shad were spawning water temps were 81-82 murky water color and I saw a little white bass activity but I was after largemouth. tried jigs, shaky head, texas rigged worm, topwater, spinnerbait, swimbaits a little bit of everything and absolutely could not get a bite. fished flats and channel banks, points and deep brush piles....not sure whats going on out there. In the past I have always caught a few decent fish out there just about every time I go. any ideas?

Guist is 15 minutes from my house. I'd rather drive 4 hours and fish 15 minutes at KY Lake than drive 15 minutes to fish 4 hours at Guist. You may guess I'm not a fan.
