Lake Reba question.
Fished lake Reba recently and was surprised that there were very few people on the lake. This was my first time on this particular lake and I was pleasantly surprised when I caught a 10 inch largemouth bass in the first 5 mins of my trip (considering I heard nothing but bad things about this lake). I ended up catching 13 bass ranging from 9-15 inches. I also had 3 fish get away. Now....I will admit that I was chasing crappies and fishing with minnows under a bobber, but the bass substitute was a fun alternative. However, I did not catch one crappie. Is there any good crappie in this lake, and how does one get a hold of them? Any help would be great.

Personally I love this little lake...but only fish it until about mid-April b/c I hate fighting the grass all day which can get really bad at certain times of the year. There is a healthy bass population there however. Most of the time (unless things are hot in early spring and word gets out) there are not a ton of boats on the water but a lot of bank fishermen. It is very small and I think that keeps a lot of people off of it which is fine by me. I am a bass fishermen but I have seen some people have a lot of luck catching crappie but most appear somewhat small.

Thanks for the info. Does the lake close at night or can it be fished after sun down? Darkness tends to bring out some of the bigger fish.
