Barkley Day 2
Well the wind still blew today but nothing like yesterday. Still had to be strategic on how we approached our fishing but it was pretty specific of where we found our fish.
Unlike yesterday, all fish taken today were solid keepers with the exception of 1 short largemouth and 1 smallmouth. Boated 6 keeper largemouths today, 2 in the 5lb class. Best 5 weighed 18.5lbs. No tails bloody as of yet. Fish were staged near secondary points and docks. Fish were around the docks this morning, more toward the point this afternoon. All fish were taken on crank baits.
White bass were also very active today. We boated several over 1.5 lbs and caught around 25 total.
Water started this morning around 58 and warmed to 61-62 by the afternoon. Found some 63 toward the back of a bay. Water is just touching the mustard flours for the most part and is very stained on Barkley (Less than a foot visibility).
Staying on Barkley tomorrow. May sneak out on the main and try to find some smallies earlier before chasing down some more green backs. Everyday the weather warms, more and more are going to push toward the backs.

We caught the hell out of white bass, caught a few skipjack, caught a pretty good mess of blue cats, mostly smaller, still think commercial guys have ruined cat fishing in ky, hope fish and wildlife is happy since they won't get off their asses and do anything about it!
