I would like to know where you saw information that indicated Barren rose 9 ft. All we have had is some light to steady rain. To raise the lake 9 ft it needs a pretty significant rainfall.
Even with the small amount of rain we got the lake never rose any because they are pulling more out than what came in. Click on this link for lake level. http://barrenriver.uslakes.info/Level.asp It shows the historical level for the last 3 years but you can look at the level for the last 6 years...lake has been on a steady fall for the last 2-3 weeks.
http://www.lrl.usace.army.mil/Missions/Civil-Works/Water-Information/Daily-Lake-Report/ shows it at 554. Was at 544 wed. Guess i wont use this site any longer thought that was an excessive rise for a couple days of rain .
The link you were looking at was last updated June 16 2017 so you were looking at old information. Check out the date at the top. The link I posted is good for current water level as well as historical water level but there is another link I like better. I am going to provide another link. It shows current level, inflow cfs, outflow cfs, current gate setting and the next 24 hour gate setting. It is the "Green River Watershed" Green, Barren, Rough and Nolin.
