Just wondering if anyone knows if the ice is thick enough anywhere to go and try to catch a few through it.
Thank you,
Jason

I have talked to several people the middle of the week who said the ice then was 5"+. You can call the Old School Trading Post bait store which is in the Greene-Sullivan State Forest. Their number is 812-798-0208. I live on the NW side of Indy and I always call down there to get an update before I head down. Even in the summer when I am camping. They are honest and will answer any of your questions. Hope this helps.
Ice thickness can vary on different lake and on a single lake even. Just make sure that the ice is thick enough to support you and others. I have always used 4" thick as a standard to go by.
take something to start a fire and a blanket along with some spare warm clothing just in case some one falls through the ice.
A ladder can be used to effect rescues on ice and a rope come in handy. Be safe out there.
Thank you all for your replies. I actually did go to hardy today. I missed the good bite from what I heard. I got there late. The ice was around 8 inches thick out from wooster ramp. There were 6 people there other than me.
