i built my own house so the thoughts of any upgrades gives me nausea.
however, every job i've hired out since doesn't meet the wife's standards.
i have to listen to all the bellyachin about what they did wrong.
even they guys she hired couldn't do it right...lol.
i like painted risers, makes the wood steps look fancier.
who made your handrails? price? i need some for my basement stairs.

Those handrails are the original 60 yr old rails........I used a wire brush and some TPS to clean them up real good, and then use krylon spray paint between showers last week.
I do believe they turned out snazzy :) :) . They have a good contemporary look versus a fancy oak banister.
