Let's hear some fish stories...
Fished several small lakes 5 acres or less growing up. We called em ponds but some called them lakes, not sure where the actual distinction is. Launched a 12 foot flat bottom in a bunch. On occasion you could find one that was stacked with giant blue gill. I can't count the messes of big hybrid gills I caught. Found a really small pond just off the side of a strip road one time that was loaded with 12-18 inch crappie. I ate well for a while until others seen my atv and started fishing it too. Seen plenty of giant LM bass in lots of ponds but never seemed to get them to bite. Even though my personal best LM came from a pond, I rarely caught anything over 3 pounds. Fished mostly in Knott and Perry county on various jobs.
I caught a 70 lb tarpon on a bubble gum hula popper on 6# test zebco 202 in a ky strip mine pit. It took 3 days to land him. Word got out about the epic battle amd the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders came to spur me on, couldnt have done it without em.
Fish stories....there ya go :)
