Thinking about heading south next week for some striper fishing. How easy/tough is it to catch bait in the lake right now? Any help is much appreciated.

I had a hard time catching bait (under lights) two sundays ago in the main lake near the dam. they were catching it at the docks though. I think halfway up a creek or more may have been a better place to try.
Caught great bait in fishing creek weekend before last pretty easily.
