Awful quiet on here!!
Been awful quiet on here the past few days. You fellas quit fishing?? We are still on a pretty decent channel cat bite in the day and good flathead bite at night. Thinking about pulling some umbrella rigs this weekend down around the fall creek area on LC. What's everyone else's plans?

For stripers of course, not cats. Cats will come after the boat traffic pickup.

Umbrella rigs sounds like a plan.
I had a hard time catching alewives last sunday..only got eight. Did catch a 30 incher with one of the eight though. They didn't last all that long on the hook either which is odd because the day before just 3 miles away they were lasting a very long time on the hook.
Gonna try again this weekend.

from the looks of the reports looks like the ASIAN CARP has ate all the fish in Kentucky
just a thought

They don't eat other fish .... but, they've sure made a mess out of KY & Barkley Lake. It's bad enough that just their presence interrupts spawning, but by eating all the phytoplankton from the waters they're starving the Shad & fry/young of the other fishes. They're also making it somewhat "dangerous" to even drive a boat/watercraft in some places, at some times.
