sounds like fish and wildlife needs to host a couple catch the carp events. Hopefully the new commercial guys can make a dent. Starting to fear the carp are gonna take over our waterways. I have snagged my share of carp at the Tville Tailwaters, but I had no idea the invasive population was getting this bad.
I think I snagged one of these a few weeks back on Lake Barkley. I was bank fishing and snagged one about 10-15lbs in the belly on 8lb test line & med light rod and fight was on! I got it to the bank 3 times but couldn't manage to get it on shore before it would take off again peeling drag and finally the hook pulled out. I've caught a lot of big head and silver carp but this one was different it had the big scales and looked like this fish just not as dark in color.
Kill EVERY single Black Carp that you see! They will hurt the shellcracker population by stealing their snails!!!
I always do with the Asian carps and planned to with this one if I could have landed him.
