Looking for creeks
Hey all!
I'm totally new to the site. Very happy to see it so active. I'm looking to catch some creek small mouth but not sure were to start. I live in Corbin, KY. Open to driving up to 3 hours. I really want to go somewhere where I can do a lot of walking, take in the scenery, and catch smallies or largemouth.

welcome to the forum
if you're looking for a lot of territory to cover and some of the most rugged scenery you will find in Kentucky you need to check out Rock Creek in Mcreary county. it is primarily a trout stream but I've caught a lot of smallmouth out of it over the years, nothing big but they are feisty and beautiful fish.
you can get more info on Kentucky dept of fish and wildlife website.
with you being in Corbin you are in smallmouth creek country. best of luck

I usually wade buck creek and pitman creek here in Pulaski a few times each a year. Plenty of small mouth and red eyes to be caught. Fish range in all sizes but I have caught several nice ones in the 17-18 inch range in the past.
