Anybody heard any weights, saw a striper guy post on Facebook with 2 limits of big smallmouth laying on the dock with one hosscat striper
I saw that post too. My initial reaction was that they were fishing shallow for smallies, and caught the big stripe...which means the striper are possible coming up shallow now!? Woohoo! I sure would have hated to be fishing today though, the cold wind and whitecaps would have been rough!
1st timer, Roger Cousens from Zimbabwe Africa was the first day leader with 17.2 lbs.
There were over 60 five fish limits weighed in out of 191 boats.

Of course they let them have the reduced size limit of 15" for smallmouth. H*ll most anybody can catch a bunch of smallmouth like that on Cumberland. They should do the same as we have to year round. Pathetic in my opinion, but helps make a better tv show I guess.
