I know this is the Kentucky forum but figured best place to get some information. I'm going to Douglas lake first of March. Anybody have any tips for this time of year?

Crappie or bass fishing
Lake will be low. For bass throw jerkbaits and redeye shad traps. Fish will be migrating from mainlake to points and secondary points.
Also try squarebill cranks and spinnerbaits. Reds are good spring colors.

I will be bass fishing. I would love to try to catch some small jaws but do you think large mouth would be a better choice to fish for?
For smallies you would have to go up in river area to get em
Last year I got to fish it some from shore while I was on vacation in smokies in Oct. and was told it was mainly a LM lake but I caught more SM on my trip.
