This is sort of scarry. Even if you survive having Covid you have a 1 in 3 chance of having brain disorders. You just can't make this up.

so of the 236,000 patients about 34% had brain disorders......so that makes 80 thousand have brain disorders......WOW, that is a lot.

BUT, now go further......only 13% of those patients were first time diagnosis...meaning 87% already had brain disorders. So 10,431 have newly IDENTIFIED brain disorders....or less than 5%.

THIS is the ******** the left and to some extent the right plays with numbers.

MoveON, this is a scare tactic, I believe. NOTHING else.

I hate all media......and I especially hate places like CNN and CNBC and AARP. They all are agenda driven.

Where do you come up with 87% already having brain disorders? 100% - 34% = 64% didn't have any brain disorders. Only 34% (80240) had any type of brain disorders. The rest didn't have any brain disorders. Now 13% of the 80240 were first time diagnosed. That is only 10431 first time diagnosed brain disorders of those that had Covid-19. So 10431/23600 x 100 = approx 4 to 5 % caused by Covid-19. I see where you get the 5%.

You say it's the left distorting the numbers. But what caused the other brain disorders other than Covid-19? We have no way of knowing, I guess. But would you like to be one of those 5%? We are talking about a lot of people with brain disorders that are connected to Covid=19.

Covid-19 is a scary disease for some people that get it and then have a brain disorder. I'm only glad that's not me. I was not trying to scare you. I was just showing what the study found.

Not sure if you remember but I posted something a while back about the Football players that tested positive for Covid-19 in a study. And about one-third of them had myocarditis. I think that was a study done on the Penn State Football Players

I do believe COVID causes long-term adverse effects, but not about to use this study as evidence. "Mood and anxiety disorders," the stated most common "brain disorder" cited, can have multiple causes, not the least of which being the anxiety caused by dealing with the pandemic in the first place. Pass.

I might just turn that around and called it Trump's pandemic as he did little to stop it here in the USA. In fact, he did more to block the things that would put a stop to the virus than anyone else. He refused to wear a mask which made all the other dumb republicans become anti mask wearing. Trump got the vaccine as soon as he could but didn't tell his followers that he got the vaccination and thus made them more anti vaccine than most.

Most of the Blue States are getting their populations vaccinated whereas the Red States are lagging. That just means that more Trump followers are likely to get the Covid-19 than democrats. That means that the next election there will be less republicans able to vote.

The Virus happened on Trump's watch boys and Biden is doing a great job of getting more vaccines out to the people. Trump sat on his hands and didn't do much to help stop the virus. Only thing that Trump did was tell people to drink bleach. SMH

Interesting thoughts. I wonder if this is why selected folks condemned the past President when he put bans in place.
I'd really hate to think anyone would put party before service to county and welfare of the masses.

Everyone else still should wear a mask and keep their distance and wash their hands often. A report that I read today said that the younger people who get the vaccine develop stronger immune responses than older people. And that older people may have to get a booster vaccine come Sept to keep their immunity up against this SARS CoV2 virus. That that already had the virus and then got their vaccinations will normally have higher immunity .

Old people will die......that is how it is supposed to be......Or technology and "medicine" keeps unhealthy people alive for decades.

There is a double edged sword with our medicine if you ask me.

I'm fat and overweight, and not in great shape, and not fit........Not saying I want to be dead or anything, but you know what. IF the RONA takes my sorry ass, because my sorry ass is overweight, not in shape, not fit.....well so be it.

I'm a strong believer in personal responsibility, and people are as much a part of their path as any medicine.

Covid will never go away as long as cats, dogs, minks and several other animal species maintain the virus in their populations. We will never be able to get rid of Covid-19.
