smallmouth spinning rod

Seeking info about what type of spinning rod to use for dale hollow smallmouth. Length, action any information would be appreciated.

I'd use a 7ft Med action Bionic Blade ... but then, that's the best Bass spinning rod I've got ... LOL!! A lot would depend on "what" you were throwing at these DH Smallies. And be sure and have a good spinning reel on it !! ..... cp

I use a 6.5 ML Billy Westmoreland rod from BPS matched with a Quantum Catalyst PTI. It works well with 8lb vanish and light lures(down to 1/16oz).

I would say any good quality 6 1/2 to 7 ft. IM6 or IM7 graphite with a small amount of tip action and that should cover you from jigs to shiners:)
