Hearing any skinny on the Whie River Broadripple ramp ?
Hello Indy.White River fishermen,
Late this fall DNR started work on the ramp at Broadripple Park (Indianapolis) any word on how the progress is going? The gossip was,,, they were going to make it a two lane ramp with a bigger and better dock. As it had been in the past,,, one boat could tie up to the dock, and you had to wait, until that boat untied at the dock to put your boat in the river.
One more question for anyone fishing or living on Lake Lemon, have they started dredging the shallow end of the lake yet? If they haven't started to do the work,,, do you know of a date when they might start? and how long do they plan they might be working on that project?.
(Thanks for all the tips on taking care of the boat during the winter months) All very good points to remember. Hope Santa gets you all something "fishy" this Christmas.

Don't know the exact status on the ramp situation. Last I heard (2 wks ago) it wasn't complete yet. It has always been a 2-lane ramp, I think they were just fixing the washout at the end of the concrete and installing a new/better dock area but I could be wrong. Someone will chime in I'm sure if that's wrong.
On the Lemon deal, they have started dredging and made decent progress this year. Dredging has now stopped for the winter and will resume next spring. I forget how many years worth of grant money they have for the project but needless to say, they'll be working on it all next year for sure.
