Boat Questions

What's everyones opinion on fiberglass boats vs. aluminum? I've looked at several aluminum boats (G3-Fisher-Polar Kraft) I would like to have about a 17' with about 50 to 90 hp motor. About all I fish for is crappie on Barren River lake or Nolin Lake. I do most of my fishing from Oct thru May. I also blue gill fish some in the summer. I've been fishing from the same 14' polar Kraft jon boat since 1982 and would like a little more comfort in my old age. I would like to get a good used boat cause I like to go way up the creeks & rivers and have been known to bump a few stumps!!!!

I am not in the market for a new boat,things in life change priorities,:)but if i was i really would look hard at an aluminum boat,i really like the tracker pro team 185 with a 90 on it.
A friend of mine has one and it rides good and fishes good,plus it is easy on gas and you can pull it with a smaller truck also.
