I'm headed back home to OH for the 4th of July. I'm planning to go to Snowden while I'm home. I ain't been there in two years now. Anyone been on it lately? Have the Hocking College kids screwed the fishing up completely yet? Is it even worth getting up in the morning to do it? Any info at all is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Water Clarity: 2-3 feet
Fished from 5:00am - 12:30pm. Got there before sunrise, was surprised to find the surface vegetation destroyed by the Hocking College Fish Antimanagement team. Nice going fellas!
Tried a variety of topwater with no luck. Switched to a 5" yum dinger (senko style bait) along grass edges. Caught one slot fish. Switched to 3/8 oz. Terminator jig with large craw pork trailer (blk & blue combo). Caught 8 fish on that, 3 over the slot, largest fish right at 4 lbs on digital scales. Lost one other that felt like a nice fish. Gotta get right into the heart of the grass with the jig and keep it moving to get the bite. If I stilled live there I think I'd manage about a month of Wednesday night tourneys with that technique.
Good luck to those of you still fishing against the quality management tactics of the HC folks. I feel your pain.

Oh, I care. Snowden was one of my favorite lakes until Hocking got hold of it. Now, they're talking about putting DORMS out there! To their credit, the roadways are better and the new launch ramp is awesome, but what they did to the lake and fishing there is a crime. thanks for the update. m

I have just started fishing Snowden. What exactly did the college do to the Lake? Fish?
Any recommendations on how to approach this lake?
What did they do to Snowden that was a crime. I would be interested in hearing more.
