KLBC's Hot August Bass Open
LAST EDITED ON Jul-01-06 AT 08:30PM (EST)[p]Announcing Kentucky Lake Bass Club's 3rd annual "Hot August Bass Open".
Date: August 12th
Time: 3pm - 9pm
Place: Ky Dam
Entry fee: $70 includes Big Bass
This is a buddy tournament. You may also fish alone.
A small change has been made this year, as you can see, the tx will be an evening tx to cut down on the heat damage. We have had close to 20 boats the last two years. If some wanted to fish before but was too hot for them, here you go. We have a great evening bite on Ky Lake this time of year.
Register now or at the ramp.

RE: KLBC's Hot August Bass Open
Bassbest, do you guys ever have any night tournaments?
RE: KLBC's Hot August Bass Open
Hey slopfishin,
The club does not have any night tourneys yet, the TD's do try but it is difficult to get a majority decision. If you are interested in fishing night tx's I know of the "Tuesday Nighters" here on Ky Lake that you can fish. It is a team event, $40 per boat and a 95% payback. Also has a classic. Times are 6pm - 9:59pm (yeah its odd) and once a year they have an all nighter 7pm - 7am. Season begins first tuesday after daylight savings time begins and ends the tuesday before DST ends. If you want more info let me know.
In the meantime I will keep shooting for night tourney's. I would enjoy some myself.
RE: KLBC's Hot August Bass Open
Thanks for the info Bassbest. Unfortunately, I can't get home in time during the week (with the exception of Friday nights) to make that Tuesday tourney. However, if that's the tournament I'm thinking of of (out of Moore's?), then it's probably all the big sticks on the lake.
Keep me posted about your club. I might try and join some day. I'm not really in to fishing day tournaments too much, but I do enjoy night tourneys.

Hey Slop,
Yes this is the tx out of Moore's and it does have some big sticks, but this is a great opportunity for you to quickly learn about the nite bite, you sound like you know enough but just in case, and you could get on a good bite one night and maybe water-log a few of those big sticks..lol I wouldn't let it intimidate you though, and for such a small price too. I'd be willing to participate as your partner for a time or two.
