OK I need an answer... Cedar Creek AGAIN
I need a vote. Is everyone satisfied with the rules as specified for the current lake records on Cedar Creek Lake?
If you have any changes in mind I need to know NOW.. or should I JUST DROP IT ALTOGETHER and not work towards a Lake Record system for the major lakes and state lakes in Kentucky.

I still think it is a good idea so I say run with it and see what happens.
RE: OK I need an answer... Cedar Creek AGAIN
Jim, I like the idea you have. It is a great idea to try to establish lake records. I can't believe we don't already have them in KY. Every other state does, as far as I know... or maybe I should say all other fishing states.
You know how it is here. You can't come up with any idea without being bashed, yelled at, and made fun of. I'd love to see records established for all lakes.
Good luck Jim, and if you need any help trying to maintain the records let me know. If I can help, I will.

Run with it you asked for opinions and you got them make your decision and don't look back. I went and re-read the original post on this and found nobody calling names or being nasty, just my 2 cents. As for the thread being locked because of Fishrgurl, I'm not real sure she stepped that far out of bounds. She likes to make her points too, sure she can be a little cantancoris,(spelling), at times but can't we all. Usually she is respectful of others when doing it. We are all different and can agree to disagree at times, that doesn't make it a personal attack. I truely appreciate this site and love to come hear and learn and chat with others but some on here need to quit wearing their emotions on their sleeve. I think alot of good folks are on this site and most help others with information, but we are not always going to buy into everything that comes down the pike, enough said and thanks for listening to my babble. To qoute Mark, Bassman30, I'm about one knock in the head away from a bumbling idiot anyway.

Jim(Fishbum),
If you want to do something just do it. You'll get pro's and con's regardless of what it is. Most of us will give our opinions if you ask us and some of those will go either way. I've seen at least one good idea slip by the way over controversy. Then my way of trying to get it refired, backfired.
There's a lot of your sucesses that didn't need a vote and worked out good. Make this one the same way.
Why vote? Just do.

I agree, run with it. Even if it goes no further than this site, it would be a great tool for inter site bragging and some good conversation at your get togethers. I think this is a wonderful site you are running with the majority of folks using it being very respectful and helpful.
So I repeat... Go for it Jim,

OK,,, I am in a better mood today. Still ticked at Sprint but hey I will get over it.
We are going with it as outlined. The list of fish on the Cedar Creek Lake Report are the ones we will recognize for now.
Eventually we will try to work on other lakes.
I have posted some lake records on reports in the past. MOST of those are Current State Records.
Lets fill up Cedar Creek and then I will start to take nominations for fish on lakes that are older and have had PLENTY of BIG fish caught. Most likely I will set a minimum for some of the larger Reservoirs that is realistic. IF you have a fish that you cuaght on a major reservoir and know the weight and have a picture we will set that number and list you as the holder till a larger fish is submitted.

Go for it. If someone complains or does not like the idea, they just don't have to particiate.
