Lowrance problems
Why is it the better stuff we get the more problems we have out of them?? Heres my latest....I have a Lowrance LMS332C, only 3 months old. Last 2 trips out it says GPS not responding. I go through setup again and it wont lock on. Anyone else have any trouble with these and if so what can I do to fix it.
Thanks
Mike

RE: Lowrance problems
On the new "blue collar" units with the Lowrance Net backbone, the connections at the back of the unit and at the backbone can get moisture in them and not work properly. I have had some success at taking these connections apart, letting them dry out and reconnecting them. You might try this first.

RE: Lowrance problems
Thanks for the reply....
It did occur right after we got hit with a downpour on the lake. Do you mean where they hook into the back of the unit or the network piece ( looks like a T).

RE: Lowrance problems
I have had the same problem with my 3300 Chartplotter. It is always after a heavy rain or pulling the boat in the rain. I have started pulling this unit everytime I transport it, and after a rainy day on the lake I pull the unit off and throw it in a zip lock baggie of rice. The rice will pull all of the moisture out of the unit and you will be good to go the next day.
