Dale report
Fished Dale Fri, Sat., & Sun. The weather was perfect on Fri. & Sat. I guess the fish just didn't think so. We FNF most of the trip.
Fri.- 20 to 30 mile and hour winds and rain all day long. To warm though with the temps never getting out of the 50's.
We only managed 4 fish between the two of us. Small buck smallies.
Sat.- Cold with the temps in the 30's. Snowing with just enough wind. Perfect FNF day! Still, only managed 6 smallies and one spot all day. Two biggest were 4-10 & 4-12.
Sun.- Cold, but bluebird skies. No wind at all. Not even a ripple. Only managed 4 small bucks. Pulled out at 11:00am and came home.
Full moon the whole time we were there. Not good. Crawfish bite at night. Fish had pinchers sticking out of thier throat. Tried jigs for couple hours each day with no luck.
I belive the biggest reason that the fishing is slow is because the lake is so low that they are not drawing any water. No current at all. I belive this pulls the bait out of hidding and turns them fish on.
Good luck to all!

RE: Dale report
Many thanks for the good report! From what I've been hearing sounds like you have done as well as anyone. I would not hang my head over a couple of nice four pound fish especially under the tougher conditions they have obviously had down there lately. I would be interested in knowing the water temperature you had on Dale this weekend. I had heard one report of water temperature at Green River of 50 degrees. Sounds pretty warm for this time of year.

RE: Dale report
Fished Dale today 1-16-06, and the bite was also tough for us. Managed 2 small smallies and one 2lb. Ky. bass. Threw float and fly, shiners, small spinners. Fished main lake bluffs and points and some coves. Water temps were 44-46 degrees. Fished in some new areas than we normally fish and never made it to our usual spots, but the bite may have been just as tough there. The bite has definitely slacked off for us.
