Ive seen tour boats crusing just outside the marina at the stae park on the main lake. If you was to leave thew marina hang a right then the lake bends back to the left, then up on the left is where Ive seen them looking for eagles. Thats been a few years back so Im not for sure now.
I am not sure of your location, but I witnessed two beautiful ealges perched in a tree on Monday at Nolin. I was fishing on the main lake not far from Wax Marina. They stayed around the main lake all day and I have seen them on previous trips since December.

I have seen them the last three times I was at Dale in Sulpher Creek and the area around and south of Trooper Island.

I havent been down this year but I would shoot for the area between the state park and the mouth of sulpher, alot of the islands are great nesting places for the fact no one messes with them. Goat, trooper island, good place to start
just got back from dale, seen two eagles just past wisdow dock, two up in wolfe river and one by trooper island. got some good pictures and thanks for the help. alot of people were fishing, i talked to a couple of them and they hadn,t done any good. main lake temp. was 43 deg. but there was some muddy water in the back of illwill and fannie creek that was 46.
There is a pair (at least) that I see in the dam area of Nolin every time I'm there. They can be seen flying over the main lake, but especially over the tail water area durring heavy discharge(like right now). Beautilful animals.

We have seen three eagles on Dale Hollow down around Holly Creek area. One flew about 40 yards in front of us in the snow last weekend.

We were right across from Willow Grove Marina. There's a long wall with a point as you turn up into Irons Creek. He was right on the point and let us float right under neath him. He looked down and I took two quick pictures...sat there for a minute observing us, then it screetched load enough to wake up the dead and took off in flight. It was awesome.
