Evening Secret
Good morning all.
I have asked this on some of the other forums but I was messing around on the internet the other day and came across this. Just wondering if anyone knew what it was and what it is supposed to do. It supposedly calls in bait fish by the millions but it did not say exactly what it was.

It's a submersible green light for night fishing. Nothing more, nothing less. There are several different ones on the market ... this one is just the most expensive, at around $200 !! ........cp

LAST EDITED ON Jan-24-06 AT 09:08AM (EST)[p]Bass Pro Shops has at least 5 to choose from, all for under $30. I had the car headlight stuffed in styrofoam floating light for a long time, talk about basic, cheap, and dependable. The thing is great for bringing in the baitfish/finding the ramp at night/bliding other fishermen and yourself, but has a tremendouse draw on your battery. Switched over to the 9" flourescent submersible (1/2 amp draw), can run that thing for weeks on a 12v battery. I would have gone with the 21 inch flourescent(1 amp draw), but storage in my small boat is always a problem.
Good Luck. Steve

RE: Evening Secret
I saw that it was 200.00. I can't believe it is just a light. I use lights when I am fishing for Crappie but mine did not cost anywhere near 200.00. I don't know that mine draws millions of baitfish but I always have quite a few.
Thanks for the reply.

You have to wonder about a product that is as overhyped as this one is ... and you aren't even allowed to SEE the dang thing !! That should be red flag #1 !!
Red flag #2 is - you're offered this fantastic "deal", on the remaining number of available units (then the price goes back to MSRP) IF you purchase before a certain date. Well, boys and girls ... that date has changed (updated) over the last YEAR. Everytime the time comes to that date .. it gets extended.
If you play the little video's that are on the main website, you'll get a glimpse of what the whole deal is ... a fluorescent green light. I've even read somewhere, where the guy makes excuses for the $200 price ... by stating that the light system has "exotic gases" in it. Yeah, OK ... but so do Blacklights, white fluorescent, and the OTHER green fluorescent lights !! And they don't cost $200 !!
He says he doesn't show the unit, because he's afraid of oriental knockoffs coming in and stealing his customer base. And he expects us to buy a $200 pig-in-a-poke -- just because it's "American made". Hasn't he ever heard of getting a "patent" ?? If his "exotic gas" containing, American Made, bait/fish drawing "secret" is so much better than any of the others ...... it's worth getting a patent for - unless, of course, he CAN'T patent it .. because it's just a overpriced knockoff ALREADY !! I mean ... come ON!! It's 4ft long and weighs 3.5lbs ... and takes 5-7days to ship to you - and that's supposed to cost $49 ?? (which he says he will personally pay) And then there's the $100 Warranty for ONE YEAR .... which he will also waive. (I should hope so). And the "carrying case" is supposed to be a $40 value. Puleeeeeesssse ... where does he come up with these figures ?
Will it attract zooplankton, and thus attract baitfish .... yes! Does having baitfish swimming around you, draw predator fish ... yes. Do you really need a 4ft long $200 green light to cause this to happen? ........ what do you think ? ...cp

RE: Evening Secret
That's unbelievable. 200 bucks for a light. I just wonder how many if any people have bought into this. I did not see a video clip when I was looking at it. It did show the carrying case though. The ad was long so I thought maybe this was something new that just came out. I had never heard of this before. I think my lights work just fine. I'll go spend another 10 bucks at Wal-Mart if I need another one.
